What do you think he is?
He was sold to me as a Siberian Husky, but his siblings were advertised as Norwegian Huskies. Was then told he is half Norwegian half Siberian Husky. Google doesn't come up with much for Norwegian Husky (does that even exist?). I'm thinking he could be half Siberian half Norwegian Elkhound. What do you think???

Husky crosses are usually revered to as Alaskan huskies. Cute pup!

His face looks kinda short to be all husky. Idk ive never had one as a pup. Seems to me your " breeder" doesn't exactly know what he/she is doing. Ive never heard of a Norwegian husky.

Probably siberian husky / norwegian elkhound cross. His colors look like norwegian elkhound colors. There is no such thing as a norwegian husky. Did you see the parents? It's probably like the people around here who breed their siberian huskies and samoyeds together.

OK just found a pic of his parents. Mum on left dad on right. No idea what the mum is! Wish I had looked at her properly before paying what I did. They WERE trusted friends and I had only really seen the dad.

They WERE friends, I trusted them not to rip me off. Not any more though.
No shots, not as much worming as they were supposed to do... I could go on and on.
I fell in love with him. Then his dad attacked his brother and broke his jaw. There was no way I wasn't going to take him asap.

Besides being a really cute puppy, its hard to say! Mom looks like she could be a dirty faced siberian, but she could also be a mix. Neither of them look like purebread norwegian elkhounds. The dad looks really tall! Based on the fact they were advertising them as norwegian huskies, I would say that he probably has a little bit of norwegian elkhound in him somewhere, but is mostly husky.

I'm assuming backyard breeders are something in the US? It's not really like that in NZ.

But then again I read on facebook that they plan to breed again (as soon as she is on heat again). I have a really nice pic of the dad but the owners daughter is in the pic so I can't really put that one up.

Hate to say it about your former friends, but they sure do sound like BYB's. If it was an accidental litter they should have given you the mutt for free. He's a dollbaby though. I can't wait to see how he looks as he gets older.
