Currently looking for entry level engineering jobs across the US. I am from chicago so mainly am looking there now for work, but hope eventually to get out to colorado/oregon region. Its so beautiful out there!

| Welcome!
I'm from Urbana, IL but my folks live up in the suburbs now. How's the aerospace engineering treating you? Both my bachelor's and master's are in aerospace. Have you thought at all about Boeing? Their headquarters is just south of Seattle, which is also an awesome place to live. Good luck on the great job hunt! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I definitely would love to work for Boeing, but my GPA isnt above a 3.0 so they probably wouldnt take me out of college. Im working 20+ hours a week and am a member of the rugby team for the school so all that has taken a hit onto my GPA. Are you working in the aerospace industry right now?
Seattle would be a great place too live too I agree! |

Seattle would be a great place too live too I agree! Yeah, I graduated with a 2.9 I went to the Naval Academy though, so I had all kinds of extra crap thrown at me, plus we didn't have that nice little 5 year option. Diff Eq's and the second semester of EE (we all had to take 2 semesters) just about did me in. I'm still active duty flying planes for the Navy. It's a great job, but I'm getting kind of ready for a new chapter in my life. I actually think I'm going to do a complete 180 on the career and go to medical school, but that's based some experiences I've had with the Navy. GE is another good place to work, and they do a lot of their engine work in Cincinnati is also a very good place to live. I went to grad school at Wright-Patterson AFB, and loved that part of Ohio. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | And we're glad that you decided to join us here!
Nice field choice also, are you graduating with a Bachelors degree? Have you considered interning at Boeing to get your foot in the door? Seattle is a wonderful area to live in but also very expensive if you're on an entry level salary or moving from an area where your house is not going to sell for anywhere near what one will cost in Seattle...not to be a downer but it's definitely something to consider when you think about the Seattle area. Lockheed Martin is another good company to consider with your educational background. My hubby is in aerospace also, working with Boeing as a matter of fact, it's a great company. _________________ |

| I've definitely thought about it, but i have acouple interviews for companies in similar fields that would be for full time positions. I would definitely feel more secure getting a full time job than starting out as an intern. Boeing is a great company though and I would love to be an intern or employee there! |
