Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

I noticed Willows left eye is slightly dilated larger than her left eye. We were in the breezeway with low lighting. I took her outside to look more closely and both eyes are equal and smaller so I thought I was imagining it. We come back inside through the breezeway and the left eye goes larger again. I bring her into the living room with better lighting and the are equal in size again. There must be something with the lower lighting... has anyone ever experienced this???

It may have been the lighting in the hallway, one eye was possibly exposed to less light than the other eye; but im no vet so if your worried id get it checked out.

Not sure about the dilated eye, but the other day Kody's eye was a bit swollen and smaller than the other. I freaked, but it was back to normal the next day.

Siku's eye did that one day. I think she just hit it on a bush in the back yard when she was doing zoomies. It went back to normal by the next day. That was over a year ago and her eyes are fine. I would say if her eye doesn't go back to normal by tomorrow, take her to the vet. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. _________________ -Sara

My first husky had that happen to him, as did Indy. It happened after they went through some type of shock after hitting their head playing. One eye/pupil would dilate and the other would constrict. Both of them were fine after I had them calm down and put in a dark room for a little while and letting the eyes adjust. It could very possibly be because your pups were playing and she bumped her head a little too hard. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it persists and then take her to the vet just in case as the others have said.

I can't tell if it's the trick of the light or not. It's not as noticeable as it was last night so maybe she did just hit her head a bit too hard. I will keep monitoring her for now.
