Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

She's adorable! Congrats!

Celtic Acres looks and sounds just like a very large byb/puppy mill. Multiple litters in just a few months, and nothing listed about health checks? Hmm...

I thought the same until I actually took the drive down and saw the place for myself. She does have a large amount of dogs which I know is a red flag for some, but they are very well taken care of. Bridget even raw feeds them. I got to meet all the adults and puppies and see where they were kept when they weren't in the house. The dogs were very friendly and approachable with silky smooth coats. I told her I might be interested in a puppy and she sent me all sorts of info on the breed, a guide to raw feeding and a questionnaire to fill out making sure I'd be a good fit. She was also able to provide references. I was impressed by her knowledge and I think she is a stand up lady. She may not show her dogs but I don't think it's fair to lump her in with puppy mills judging solely on a out of date website.
I think if you're just looking for a family pet there is nothing wrong with buying from Celtic Acres.

Hey guys, if you want to keep talking about Celtic Acres or any other breeder (and I actually wouldn't mind tossing in my ), howabout we start another thread instead of hijacking a scrapbook?

I'm really excited Smile I hope Hayden get's along with her. He got to meet an 11 week old female Husky last weekend and he was very rough with her, so I hope he learns to play gentle.

So we have a slight change in plans! Nicky was suppose to come home Saturday, but due to a schedule mix up we will be bringing her home today!! I'm picking her up at 5:00pm, which is a little over 3 hours away (I'm counting down the minutes hehe). I'm so excited and I'll be posting pictures later tonight Smile
