Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi Everyone! My names Adam and I am from San Diego. I just picked out my male puppy at 2- 21/2 weeks! My girl and I decided to name him Shadow.. I have wanted a husky ever since I was 10, and was just amazed by the breed but did not have means for it. Now I can!! I do triathlons so I am exited to do my training with him! I know he will help my improve Smile.. We are so exited to meet all of you and make new friends here!! more pictures to come![img]

Hi there!

He's still at the breeders right? I think you said you just picked him out... He's very cute- I wish I could have seen mine as puppies!

Just be sure you wait until he's at least a year or so before doing consistent running and training with him. You don't want to hurt his growing joints and bones Smile

Oh yes he is at the breeders! We just had 1st pick from the litter so we made it today! We are not going pick him up till 6-8 weeks. I miss him already. Yes I have to wait to run! But cant wait! haha! Thank You! Very Happy

Thank you! You both have gorgeous dogs! I was born and raised in Sacramento. Parents still live there! Usually go home about 5 times a year.

is the kong puppy filler ok for husky puppies? Is it ok to start with peanut butter and yogurt frozen? or should I wait awhile?? When i get him at 8 weeks that is. I 'wanna upset his tummy but when he gets comfortable in our house?

We filled kongs pretty much from the start with Ghost, and we got her at 10 weeks. We did a one for one mixture of canned pumpkin and plain greek yogurt, capped on the ends with a little peanut butter and then frozen. You'll enjoy the 30-45 minutes of peace Cool
