Flea/Heartworm Meds Empty
PostSubject: Flea/Heartworm Meds   Flea/Heartworm Meds EmptyMon Jul 23, 2012 5:55 pm

They sell these by the dogs' size (0-25lbs). How fast do the huskies grow in the first 6 months of their life? We are picking ours up at 8 weeks (the 2nd weekend of august) and as of right now, she's already pretty decent sized. Should I take chances with the 6 month supply or play it safe with the 3 month? Looking on Amazon, they're going for about $10ish more for the 6-month packs. Any suggestions?

Saphire is pretty petite as I am learning and just weighed in at 30 lbs at 5 months. Would play it safe with the 3 month supply.

Actually 30lbs at 5 months wouldn't necessarily be considered petite. Balon is 35 at 5 and my vet says he should be around 60 when full grown! I am still buying his month to month, but a 3 month supply should be ok I would think. Very Happy

I figured the 3 month would be best seeing as how she grew so much in the 2 1/2 weeks since we saw her last lol

once she gets up around the normal full grown weight i'll just get the larger packs.

Wow. Balon looks much larger in stature than Saphire. Maybe its just the pics. Either way, Saphire's vet says petite but not small (based on the size of her head not her weight)! But I am with you, I go month to month!
