When does their tails curl? Snipers is always straight and i love how all of your photos on here your dogs tails are curled! I assume when she gets a wee bit older.....

Not sure when they curl but it is so cute when they do! im sure it is an age thing trying to think if the puppy i saw on sunday had a curl tail and it did at 6 weeks not super curled but just a little bit

does she bring her tail up at all? i guess you could always call the breeder and ask them about it?

Not all husky's tails curl. Snipers may or may not, so just be aware. Usually if they do curl, it will happen within the first six months or so (similar to how their ears "pop up" after a while).

Not saying it won't happen, but it's a genetic thing and it doesn't happen for every husky.

I think they're not supposed to curl too much...

The fault is for a tail that curls so much that the back of the tail lays down on the back of the dog or flops to one side. The tail is only supposed to curl so that the tip of the tail touches the dog's back.

I know Cindi's Gus had the "over-curled" tail problem which she was really working on when she was trying to show him.

Yeah I saw it. It was super cute, and I thought it looked young but figured it was just small. Six weeks is just WAY too young. It doesn't even have all its shots yet! It's just really irresponsible.

I guess none of ours would be considered "normal". Nanuk & Isis' tail curl way over pretty much all the time. Mika, however, has a tail more in the description in Harrise's post. Straight when "in repose" or just standing and when trotting around. Then, it does curl at times, but not way to one side or the other. Regardless, since mine are not being shown, not having papers for any of them, it matters not a whit to me! Love the little buggers!

snipers tail curled over :-) my hubby kept asking me and i told him only time would "tail" HA! got video of her and sophia playing rough last night...will upload tonight if i have time...taking sniper fo rher first trip to petsmart!

They wont always keep their tails curled either, Our girls will curl when they alert or when their running around, I find it hilarious to watch how it moves as they adjust their pace and turn. Sometimes it hangs down, but you will probally notice it doesnt droop straight down, its probally more or less out behind your dog. The pretiest poses is when kiera spots a squirrel out in the front yard or crossing the teleephone wires over the yeard, She stacks in a perfect husky pose that just makes me anxious for our first show in May!

mcdlabs, love the new avatar pic! they have grown like crazy! i feel like they are already bigger than sniper and she will be 6 months on the 25th! oh my! will try and get some new pics this weekend outside since it will be nice this weekend here in the 50's!

My puppy's tail was curly by the time I got him at 12 weeks. It was really cute. It seemed too long for his body as it would lie on his back!
