2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Freya got her 12 week shot last week. Since getting the imunisation she has a lump where the vet jabbed her.

I've been massaging the lump nad surrounding tissue in the evenings when she is most calm and relaxed.

It is slowly getting smaller (I think) but I was just curious, is this normal. I've had other dogs before nad I dont recall them getting a lump at the site of the injection, but I wasnt as paranoid about them as I am Freya.

Do you think it's anything to worry about, or simply just because of the injection?

Diego actually developed a hernia when he got his last rabies shot and had to get shaved/have surgery to remove it Sad I don't know how the two correlate I just know he went for his shots, then he had a lump growing and it ended up being a hernia. made me paranoid about immunizations! Keep an eye on it especially to see if it grows. good luck Smile

oh that sounds frightning.

I've been monitoring it closly, every day and it seems to be getting smaller, from what it feels.
I'll be sure to keep a closer eye on it. Thanks.

Oh thanks for that. I checked it again tonight while she was snuggling me ON MY BED while I read. (I promised myself she wouldnt be aloud on furniture :-/ Turns out I cant keep a promise, not even to myself). The lump was about the size of my thunm nail, now it's about the size of my pinky nail. So it is decreasing.
