You have to clean it up , take it outside where you want her to go and show her, They will learn pretty quick. We have our 2 girls doing sit, down, roll over, shake and sit pretty (well sorta modified they grab on with their paws because they still can't quite balance). kiki knows that heel means walk next to me but her attn span is limited on that but as long as I have some high value treat (turkey lunch meat) she's getting better.
I took them both for a walk (individually still) and at least they were focused on me and are pulling less, no more choking themselves. They wore me out though because I run with them the last 1/4 block as a reward for doing good. I'm getting old I swear!
