| Well, I never thought I'd put a muzzle on one of our babies but we did this morning! She absolutely will not stop biting our other husky on the tail, hind legs, or neck scruff. At first it was fine because they were playing now our 5 year old Husky doesn't want to tolerate it more than twice per day. It doesn't seem to be aggression so much as it is our rescue baby wants to play play play. She just won't stop and then she goes after our hands and bites pretty hard when we try and get her to stop. She chewed threw her harness and leash when we weren't looking for a split second and then bit a giant hole in our duvet cover. We finally decided to order an e-collar for further training but it won't be delivered until this upcoming Thursday.
We hate to put a muzzle on her but don't know what else to do for the biting until Thursday. We don't keep it on her all the time. It just goes on her for about 15-20 minutes once we stop her when she's biting someone/our other dog. She calms down immediately and seems to get the message but it's just hard to have to do that.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I feel like such a bad mom and my husband hates that we have to do it too but we cannot get any peace and quiet with the 2 dogs in the room at the same time and we don't want to have to separate them because when Sasha (the reduce) is being good they cuddle and lick each other. It isn't always but when it's bad, it's bad.
We take her for walks, endless walks, and walks and walks and walks. And then more walks. She has chew toys, squeakers, that twist treat toy, but she just prefers my husbands Sperrys.
Ideas? Comments? I'll try anything! I have an open mind to approaching this!
Also, is there an age where it all just clicks with Huskies? Where they just settle down a bit and don't romp around so much? I feel like we lucked out with our other Husky and after 2 years old he all of a sudden just became good and obeys every command and just stopped being out of control. |

| Miya will be 2 in November and has settled down quite a bit. A few things that may help, hand feed and use the word "gentle", or place food on your hand tell her to"wait" then "get it" with be gentle in the middle of this command. Miya was way better when I worked with her this way. We also use the command "enough" and she now gets the point that we are through with the rough housing. Lastly when you get the E-Collar. please train with a professional, they can help with the bad behavior. I personally use one, but I use it strictly with recall and not for training, command learning, or behavior redirection. Redirecting her to something else, high value bone may be a better way to take her mind off of your other dog. Good luck and keep us up to date on how things are going. Renee |

| My parents have a puppy that chews on my old dog constantly. We spritz bitter apple spray around the scruff of his neck and legs and that slowed him down a bunch until we could get pup taught better. _________________ |
