Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Nikko has never been THAT bad. Usually just typical puppy stuff. But the past week he has been hell on 4 legs. Peeing in the house waaaay more than usual. Seems I have to take him out every half hour to avoid accidents. I know he can hold it for a while, he holds it for hours in his crate when I'm at work. He's also biting a hell of a lot more, which I know is because he's teething. His teeth are falling out and new ones coming in. He's also constantly jumping on everything. Not listening whatsoever. He's too young for the teenage years. What on earth is going on with him?

Just pushing buttons, lol. Lucian did this after we went hunting for the weekend. It lasted about 2 days. He had a lot of extra "time outs" in the kitchen those two days. Seems just like kids when they push their parents to see how far they can get, and how much they can get away with. Don't give them an inch though, cause they'll take a mile. lol.

I don't give him an inch. I yell off the second he jumps, if he doesn't get off all I do is stand up and take a step towards him and he gets off. He's just realllllly starting to get on my nerves right now.

Just like kids, lol. I got punched in the face by Lucian earlier. I was laying on the couch throwing a toy for him, well the one time he brought it back and I reached for it, BAM. Up comes a paw right in my face. If Lucian starts driving me nuts, I gate him up in the kitchen until he chills out.

Dragon has been acting the same way lately, I'm glad to know its not just us lol. Others have told me he was just pushing buttons which seems very likely. He gives me the look that says "I know I'm doing wrong but Catch me if you can" ha. I need to enroll him in puppy training classes to reinforce good behavior and give him some socializing skills.

I remember Freya going through this, it lasted for what seemed like forever. She would pull on the kids clothing, tearing holes in them, she would jump on them, she would pee everywhere, she was a hell hound.

But with lots of persistance (I think the fact that I've got kids made it harder, because, although I would tell them how to behave and act around Freya, she just saw them as play things. At one stage my youngest son was really frightned of her.) she because the girl I always dreamed of. Now we are one big happy family. She's going through her teenage years right now. But so far she's kept it isolated to her own toys, destroying them and tearing the heads off her stuffed animals.

Ezio went through these phases too. Just keep at it and be consistent, it will get better!

As everyone else has said, he's just trying to get under your skin ;D Plus, don't forget, the cold weather makes all the animals a bit more frisky than usual!
