My girls didn't get sick, the puppies did. But now I don't think they got sick from coccidia like my mom thinks. I think it was just the switch in their food and now that they've been switched back they have better poops. lol. Crate training is going good so far. Only thing is sleeping was terrible last night, cause I kept having to wake up and let them out. Once their stomachs have settled back on the new food, I'm hoping I'll get better sleep!

I'm about to put the puppies on petfinder. I'm going to list them as GSD/walker hound mixes. Who knows what they really are, but they sort of look like that mix. Here are some newer photos.

Well I've had a lot of interest in Ike and Lena. One person has asked about Emma and one asked about Calie, but no one's asked about Sadie! I just gave them all baths, because someone is coming to see Lena tomorrow.

And in other news, I think we might be crazy and foster 4 of my mom's puppies, because I found out she is letting another lady foster them and I know that lady has way too many dogs already and can't give puppies the proper attention they need. I told my mom to get them back, but she's making every excuse not to take them. So we're just going to foster them too. Goodness, these are going to be the LAST puppies/dogs we're fostering for a while! I need a break! lol. 5 puppies cut way too much into my sleep time and having 9 isn't going to help that at all!

Oh dear, sounds like you are the foster mama extreme! Good luck with all those puppies and I hope they find wonderful homes quickly! Bathing 3 dogs is hard enough!

I think Lena and Ike both have homes now and I've gotten a number of e-mails about the others now. Just bugs me. I send people interested a little blurb about the puppy they want and about the litter as a whole and how much the adoption fee is and a simple application to fill out. A lot of people just don't respond after that and some like to completely ignore the application part. Like a lady just e-mailed me and I sent her an application and she sends me back an e-mail with the application not filled out saying she'd like to see them tomorrow after 11am. Really lady?! No one's coming to my house without first filling out an application! You sure get some strange people looking for dogs on petfinder. And people who really don't want to tell you anything about themselves and act like an application is binding or something. No, it's so I know you will actually take care of the dog. Here's the application I send. It's really simple and short. I've seen other rescues who have like 3 page applications!

OMG!! Cuteness overload. I'm in love with Calie and Sadie.

Wow. A lady just freaked out on me, because she was late getting back to me and I told her there were other people in front of her in line for the puppies. She's going to "let my little boy know that for some reason our application was not accepted & that other families were chosen instead of us to take them home." Or maybe don't promise your son that he's going to "get that doggie in the window!"

And she implied that I might share her personal information. Don't worry lady, all your info will be deleted and just to let you know pretty much anyone can find your name, address, and phone number if they search hard enough.

And don't worry, I was very polite in my e-mail back to her. Steve is mad at me for deleting a long response he wrote that was a bit insulting. lol. I can hold my tounge when I need to, but he really wanted to get into it with her.

That's normal Sara.. If they were my puppies, I would probably ask for an interview with the family adopting them to make sure the puppies are in good hands and they won't have to be re-home in the future. Nowadays there are just too many people that buy puppies because they are cute and less than a few months later, the puppy is in the shelter.

Callie and Ike were officially adopted today! Just need to take them to get spayed and neutered on Thursday. I'm pretty sure I have a home for Lena and there's a WONDERFUL home that wants both Emma and Sadie! So I think they're all adopted! I did tell the one lady to look into the pros and cons of raising two puppies, but I think that family is the type who can do it. I love it when I call a vet and they know the people just by their name and don't have to look them up. They gave the family a rave review.
