Tears or Eye Fluids Empty
PostSubject: Tears or Eye Fluids   Tears or Eye Fluids EmptyMon Feb 18, 2013 12:06 am

So when I first got my little Cain I noticed he continuously had a clear fluid from his eyes. He is still a puppy about 8-9 weeks and was just wondering if it was normal. Here are some pics of what I'm talking about:

Any of you guys experience this?

Sierra and jack both get what I call eye boogies, sierras are dark, jacks more clear, I'm not sure what causes them, sometimes I think allergies cause jacks will get green in the summer. Maybe someone else will chim in

My akita/shepherd mix gets watery eyes in the winter from the furnace he is allergic to human dander and watery eyes in the fall he is allergic to mold from the falling leaves. Hope this helps. If it is allergies, my vet started with Benadryl and then went to steroids because he has moderate allergies to everything that was tested.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it. I think almost all dogs gets eye boogers. All three of mine do. Kato, has a white face so you can see the brownish area where he gets this. It could be dander and whatever's floating in the air. We live in Nevada, so there's a lot of sagebrush here. And i think that's what causes a lot of their watery eyes.

Both of mine get them from time to time. Nikko had big eye boogers before and he had pink eye, but just a little amount is normal. Yukon is all white and gets the real dark ones and has the tear stains too. I tried the pads and they don't seem to work, so I am hoping it goes away
