Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I know that this is a husky forum, but I also know a lot of members also have cats so I figured I'd give it a go.
Myles is our almost two year old kitty. He's always been a big (tall and long) cat, but he's put on some extra pounds recently, partly due to my mom watching him for a week while we were gone and over feeding him.
He is currently on Science Diet Sensitive Stomach. I hate this food, but we spent literally months after we got him trying to find a food that didn't make his poops horrible. We went through Cat Chow (gross), TOTW, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul. All of them gave him horrible gas and poops.
I want to get him on a new food anyways, so I figured I'd get some advice. I read that weight control foods for cats aren't actually that great because they still have too many carbs, and cats need even more of a meat based diet than dogs do. Any advice? |

| My cats are rotated between wellness and nature's variety instinct dry foods. They are both doing well. They have also been on Costco's natures domain as well, and did alright. |

| My two cats are on earthborn holistic cat vantage. They do well on it. One of them, has stinky poops, but I think that's just her, lol. |

| Just got back from the pet store. I decided to try Wellness Core Indoor Formula. It's a little pricey, but it was the one that I liked best. I stood reading bags for like 20 minutes...lol. I almost hope he doesn't do well on it because of the price, but I just want him to be on a good food without runny poop. Before, he literally would have liquid poo on his butt and get it everywhere. Don't want to go back to that! He's also been shedding like crazy, so hopefully a better food will help that too. |
