Congrats on the new puppy! Pictures????

It's been a while since my dog was puppy. I remember a lot of things, but not really about how much she went to he bathroom. I know she went a lot more often when she was young.

I am not familiar with that food, but a cup and a half per day doesn't sound like enough for a 9 week old pup. I can't remember exactly, but when Evie was about that age I believe I fed her a cup of food 3 times a day. As far as pottying, do you mean he's pooping 6-7 times/day? Young pups do go more and I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as they are formed.

For 9 weeks old I would be feeding him 3 times a day, 1 cup each time. My girl is 5 months old and still eats 3 cups. I never go by what the bag says, my vet even said 3 cups is more like it Cool. And as far as going potty, when Selena was at that age sometimes she would pee 3 times in a matter of 20 minutes! It's what puppies do Smile

It also depends on water intake, play, naps, chewing, training, and excitement, all of which make them have to eliminate almost immediately. My pup is over 3 months and the frequency has been reduced and his control is significantly better, but all of the above still trigger his need to eliminate.

Good luck with you new puppy!
