Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | Hey there! I have been lurking for a while but finally decided to make an account and start posting! I'm Janelle and my husky is named Zoey. Zoey was born Dec. 28, 2012, which makes her now 3 months and (almost) 2 weeks. I got her at just about 6 weeks old, and she has done really well (for the most part) since I brought her home. She isn't pure bred, though I'd like to think she looks it. Her dad, Loki, was a pure husky, but her mom Veruka is only half, the other half being... Dog. Lab? Pit? We're not sure. Veruka was originally mine but I had to give her up to a friend at one point. Her and Loki got free together one day and boom, 9 unexpected puppies. 8 all were given to great homes, including my little Zoey who was the runt, but my friend and her fiance kept the oldest, a large boy named Otter, he is a goof. Since then Loki finally found his forever home, and Veruka is on schedule to get spayed, as is Otter to get neutered. Zoey was just recently spayed this week. And there is her story. Hahaha Again though she isn't pure husky, I like to think she looks it enough. <3 I love my little girl no matter what she is, but I am actually hoping that whatever else is in her may make her easier to work with overall in the long run. Her best friend is my moms doberman/ wimerauner Voodoo, and her lab/ chow Cheese (don't ask on the name, haha). She LOVES my cat, though Jasper isn't so fond of her, but a slap or 2 (thankfully without claws so far) usually dissuades her along with a "No" from me. She also has issues with water. She doesn't realize she has to swallow her last lap of it when she drinks. Haha she looks up and it all just kinda goes. But here are some photos of her since I got her till now. The litter: Zoey and Otter at about 6 weeks. The father, Loki: Her Mother, Veruka: One of her first days home: The day her first ear stood up: Sometimes she sleeps like a dork: She is a goof: Sideways, but this was 2 weeks ago on the way to a dog park: Again sideways, but last night after a very busy, active day: |

| Yeah, her mask has changed a lot. The spots above her eyes were brown as a baby, and she has much darker areas around her mouth too as you can see. She is lightening up. But I think her dots are gonna stay a really light tan, and tat she is gonna keep at least a light grey around her mouth. |
