2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Since the dog park down the street from us opened we have been taking Loki every day. It is a lot of fun for him and the park is very well taken care of. People leave frisbees and balls and water bowls for others to use. We noticed this weekend that he has taken to peeing in the water bowls that people leave. If I see him I scold him and dump it out and rinse it but other then that I don't know how to stop it. Any ideas?

That is the what my trainers think but it is gross because other dogs drink out of the bowl and I have to shoosh them away and well he has good aim. I just want to find a way to make it stop. He doesn't do that to the water bowls in class or at puppy play time only at the dog park.

Getting male dogs to stop marking things is difficult and takes time. Frequency does reduce as they get older or become more comfortable in the area. Washing the bowls thoroughly rather than rinsing will help to reduce his scent and reduce the likelyhood of him marking them again. Also bear in mind that he may be marking over another males' markings. A firm "No" when he is doing it will also help to convey that behavior is not acceptable.

That sounds like quite the fetish that Loki has. Laughing

About the only thing you can do is stay consistent in stopping him as soon as he starts. With time and patience he will learn.
