| Is there anything out there similar to the palisades pack without the huge hit to the wallet? I really like that the saddle bags are removable and I like the harness but $130 is a LOT |

| Megan, I'm also thinking about getting that one! I really like all three of the Ruffwear packs haha
I found http://www.ebay.com/itm/400477603354?hlp=false&var= It looks really similar to the palisade and also has removable saddlebags! I haven't been able to find it anywhere else yet though. |

| I would suggest just sticking with ruffwear. I've had bad luck with other brands |

| If your gonna spend the $ do it on the best, anything from ruffwear is worth it! They are the best. Search craigslist, ebay, and backcountryk9 for deals. I bought 2 other brands befor I learned to just buy the best the first time around. _________________ |

| Ebay is your friend I bought a pack for Ava for $30, including shipping. It wasn't the Palisades though, but I think it was the Approach? It had only been used once and its like brand new. The girth is a few inches long for her, but that's nothing a pair of scissors won't fix! |

| Yes, it's a lot more than other packs out there, but you also get the great customer service and warranty behind the product. With any high quality product that the company backs up, you will pay a premium. It'll last you a long time as well as outlast other packs. I've learned this about any gear that needs to perform. You pay the money upfront, but it'll be something that will last and perform. And in the long run, you end up paying less.
Check Craigslist and Ebay. You can sometimes find them there slightly used or at a discount on new. BackcountryK9.com also has some deals. _________________ |

| I agree with everyone completely. After I discovered Ruffwear I haven't gone to any other companies for several types of items.
I've gone through a few types of less expensive backpacks (Outward Hound, EZYDog, etc) and none have held up like Ruffwear. The quality truly is top notch, and they have great customer service.
I considered not spending the money on a second pack when I got Loki, but I'm glad I did. It is well worth the investment. |
