Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Hi there everybody... I'm not really good at this stuff, but here goes.. My name is Carissa (My nickname is Histi) I'm in my late 20's, have 2 Children, 2 Huskies and 5 Cats (about 3 too many in my opinion) I'm a relatively new Husky owner, Keyto was adopted, we got her in July 2013. I have recently inherited a male husky puppy as a christmas gift ... a little bit early but I'm not complaining. (Digger) I absolutely adore animals and am just now finishing up first year of Vet Nurse training but have decided I don't want to be one anyway... would rather work at the SPCA or a shelter for example. I have fallen completely and utterly in love with my huskies, I would say even a little obsessive Anyway I think that's enough about me. Any other members from NZ here? |

Yeah keyto is down as a black and white husky on her NZKC papers, but I think american's refer to her colouring as black and tan as she has the tan markings on her legs

Aw, they are pretty cute! We would call Keyto a black and white too. Tan points are very common on both black & white, and grey & white huskies. My pup has them, but he is still considered a grey and white.

Welcome! Your pups are gorgeous, and I have to say that NZ is number one on my list of places to visit _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. Any other members from NZ here? Welcome! I'm not from New Zealand, but I studied abroad there back in 2006. That's also where I met my fiancee, so it's an important place for us and remains our favorite place on Earth. It's so significant in fact, that our husky puppy is named Kaikoura Where in NZ are you located?

Hi Lovely to see another Kiwi on here! There aren't many of us on this forum unfortunately but that doesn't matter everyone is so welcoming anyway Where are you roughly in the country? I'm a Mid Canterbury girl and unfortunately don't find too many huskies round here... so far I can count the number I have met in my town on one hand Your pups are just lovely, I couldn't think of a better Christmas present than little digger he is adorable!! Solid blacks like Keyto would have to be my favorite coloring's she is just stunning, my boy has tan/ginger in his hind legs and behind his ears too it is quite common. I am fairly new to Husky ownership as well, I got my boy in April and I completely understand how easy it is to become mildly obsessed so quickly! I have had dogs all my life but my boy Orion is definitely my heart dog, and like every member here I can no longer imagine life without a husky
