7 month old puppy having accidents in the house Empty
PostSubject: 7 month old puppy having accidents in the house   7 month old puppy having accidents in the house EmptySun Jan 12, 2014 7:24 pm

Hello

My dog Thor who is about 7 and half months old now who has been house trained started having the occasional accidents, just wee in the house once every couple of days. At the time it seemed that he didn't know he was doing so we didn't discipline. He was due a vets appointment when this started happening so we mentioned it to the vets and they told us to bring in a urine sample. However the results come back clear. He has just had an operation for castration but a bigger op than usual as they were in his abdomen. When he first come back he was fine however the last couple of days he had 4 accidents in the house yesterday and 6 today. I was just wondering what an explanation for this could be?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Did the vet give the all clear? If yes, I would restart potty training by keeping a eye on him and taking him out immediately if he goes inside.

A couple things to check out. Has he had a follow up after the castration surgery? Did you mention that problem? Second, is he on any pain medicine? I would call your vet to make sure there are no post surgical issues. If not, do as Jessica suggested and start over with potty training. Smile
