Thanks to all for this month's entries!

2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi there. I'm Lori and wanted to make a first post before diving in here on the forums. I'll start by saying I am the mother of 3 children ( the oldest two are college age) and a 7 year old little girl. My oldest child brought home a Husky
and I have pretty much taken over with the dog because I did not like how little he was interacting with the dog. I am obsessed with my two very tiny Yorkies so I wanted this dog to have a loving home as well. My oldest Yorkie doesn't like the Husky at all the last months at our home has been chaos to say the least. I've become quite attached to the Husky (his name is Jagger but I call him Wolfie
) and by joining here I hope to learn the do's and don'ts to properly care for this dog. I joined a Yorkie forum when I got my first Yorkie and the amount of information that helped me raise him was unbelievable!
It is nice to be amongst others who own this breed because it must really be one special breed to steal my heart. I was a 100% loyal to Yorkies kind of gal until this feisty dog arrived to my home.

Welcome! I love the name wolfie lol! For some reason it made me think of Game of thrones, one of the dire wolves names is shaggydog lol. When you say your yorki doesnt like wolfie, do they fight, or just stay away from eachother? Also you must post pix! Forum rule....... Lol

Welcome! It's always nice to see a fellow Illinoisan join up here
I'm originally from Urbana, but I'm stationed in Maryland now. There are some active Husky meet up groups up in the Chicago area, and I've got some friends in Champaign-Urbana who have Huskies as well. If you're in an area with other Huskies, I'm sure Wolfie would like to make some friends.
I agree with Jen and Eric on the pictures too

"Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you become a fierce defender of the ways in which your little one is perfectly ordinary — all the things he or she can do that are just like what everybody else does. And yet, you never lose sight of how absolutely extraordinary that very ordinariness is, how difficult, remarkable and rewarding that fight to be 'just like everybody else' has been." -Gwen Cooper, "Homer's Odyssey"
