| So has I have said before I recently started working at a dog daycare. This week for the first time I brought Simon and Sadie with me. Sadie had gone to daycare before but not for a few months. Simon had boarded there over a weekend when we went out of town and my coworkers said he did fine. So Monday and Tuesday I took them to work with me. Monday I didn't see them much other than at lunch I took them to an unused yard and we all took a nap in the sun. Tuesday I helped run daycare and I was kind of shocked. Simon and Sadie followed me around and played with me and would run over to me when I called there names. There were around ten other dogs and they thought I was the coolest thing around. It was so cool. Now they would wander off and sniff other dogs run around and were super confident and happy. Some other dogs kind of got a little over excited and both Sadie and Simon just walked away.
But the fact that if I moved they would wander in my direction and if I encouraged them they would come over and love on me. Simon is such a lover boy. He loves all people and would try to get the other workers to pet him but he didn't follow him them around like he would me.
They were both fantastic Sadie would come up and give me kisses and Simon would come over and woo at me. It was a great day. |

| So cute! Seems like they were trying to brag to the rest of the dogs: "Look, na-na, our mom works here! We're special!" This happens with Layla sometimes when we're at the dog park. She makes a point to greet all the humans at the park, give them kisses, etc., and greets some of the dogs but for the most part does her own thing, explores on her own and can be kind of aloof with the other dogs. Then when we call her the majority of the time she will pick her head up and come running or at least move in our direction, haha. Glad to hear things are going well with the new job. I've been bringing Layla to daycare the past week or so and envy all the staff there handling and getting love from all those dogs. |
