| Received an email from our pup's owners yesterday & said she was ready to come home to us. The also sent me a photo of the vet health record package from Friday's appointment that will come with her.
We are so excited!
Now to find her a name!
I will also ask them if she's coming with some food as I want to switch it (to a better one & that is available at my local pet food store). How much should I ask for so I can do the transition. 1 or 2 weeks' worth?
Thanks |

| Congrats on the new puppy! I can't really help on the food transition thing as we switched our puppy's food cold turkey and went straight to the raw diet the night we got her home. Although we were given a bag of the food that the breeder was feeding her but we just donated it. |

| My son decided to name her Ripley (Aliens fan ) & it suits her well. We picked her up on May 22. The food switch went well. (Mind you, now her gas is potent enough to make you leave the room!) Crate training is going well, even though when she thinks she has an audience, you'd think the world was ending. It only lasts for 15 - 20 min, then she's quiet all night. Leash training is going well, potty is hit & miss so we're trying the bell on the door. She absolutely LOVES people! But she's so submissive, most clients are great with her & are gently trying to get her to not instantly go upside down. We've our first rebel moment. Let's roll in sewage. Let's dig up the muddy pot holes in the driveway. Let's sneak into a room, find an expensive object that means something to someone, then sneak back so no one catches me moment... And of course bite everything because it's so much fun to hear everyone yelp, even though they're constantly trying to shove toys in my mouth to stop me. Oh and the cat... trying to convince the cat to play. She'd doubled in size when we got her & she's doubled again & her coat colour/pattern is changing. Everyone loves her. |

| Oh... and she's finding her voice & likes to talk back to people like a typical teenager. |

| Ha ha! Yeah, new puppies are awesome! And she is so fluffy! Good thing she likes hugs because I can't help myself to smoosh all that fluff! Some people have been asking when we would go make the rounds for them to say hi to Ripley, they want to see her before she looses the puppy look. Most of these places are public places so we haven't ventured out yet (other than a close friend who had healthy mini Shnauzers, one place that didn't have dogs & a client who brought their dog along). Not sure if I'm being paranoid but I've never taken a puppy younger than 4 to 6 months old to make rounds. Especially at the pet food store. They are itching to meet her. |
