I bet you so, they all look darling! And Cato does have special pizzazz! But there is so many I don't know how you manage! I have trouble keeping an eye on my little Bartok, the sheer amount you have makes me dizzy.

Thankfully they are super easy once you get past just one or two (in my case 4) it got super easy. Just a little more time needed in the routine. It will be even easier once the second and third yards are done! All in good time though.

I can't wait to see him working on the trails! What age are you planning on starting him?

I'll probably do some light harness work with him once he's over a year old like we did with Rogue. But he won't officially join the team until next season. He'll be just about 2 by our first race of the 2015-16 season.

Congrats!! He's filling out nicely (I'm totally not good with that yet, but comparing him with you in the last pic with the other two, he just looks more mature than before). He is magnificent.

He's getting there! About to turn 1 year old, we have a long way to go but it's exciting to see so far!

Thanks! I am so excited about this boy! Can't wait for our next show...and his newest photo to arrive of course Our first official photo from a National Specialty, and a lovely rosette to go with it...but the greatest thing was how much everyone loved him.

Out of curiosity because I just wondered about this last week when I asked Link's breeder if his brother and sire would meet at the show in San Diego because they both competed......which she said not much because they are both in tact males so they need to keep some distance.

How many problems arise due to the fact that all dogs at shows are in tact? Are there special considerations and strategies for keeping them calm and at peace with one another? Are bitches in heat allowed at shows? Is sex relevant to how the dogs are sectioned off at all?

It never occurred to me before to think of this.

Bitches in season are of course allowed at shows, they are who you have to keep your distance on. This was a group composed of all intact animals, bitches in season, and of course all the pea brained males. The key is knowing your dog and being in control of your dog- you can't control other people or their dogs all you can do is handle your own. We had no issues at all, but Siberians are not supposed to have same sex aggression- that is either a socialization issue or poor temperament within the lines.

All of the dogs to the right of Broker are males (intact) and all of the dogs to the right of him are females (intact, some in standing season)-

Ok, thanks. I have never heard of a dog fight at shows I just figured there would be some sort of considerations made.

The report I got after the show was that his brother and sire had no problems at all and that Lance, the sire, is the most relaxed, easy going Husky ever.

Do you think generally Siberians form friendships better cross-sex or same-sex? Link seems much happier and excited about female Siberians than any other creatures alive whatsoever, and male Siberians would be a distant second place. It definitely seems to be the case that they prefer their own breed with friendships.

Shows aren't really any different than being out in public with your dog- you have to be in control of your dog, and know your dog's temperament and predisposition. Beyond that is't just another outing with your bud Keegan is a puppy and can have that intense puppy energy, some dogs don't appreciate that and I don't want him riled up so we usually stand back until we're called into the ring.

As for recognizing their own, it's uncanny isn't it! I think it's just part of their DNA how they were intended to form bonds to work together
