Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Alright, I have to admit, I don't know which one ate a few pieces of a tampon, but one of them did. The incident probably happened Thursday night, but could chav been Thursday during the day. I found the middle piece and the string in Teddy's mouth, and then found another chunk of iron the floor. I'd assume that whoever ate it, at 2/3 of the tampon.
It has been almost 48 hours, and so far each dog has been pooping, eating, running around like an idiot, sleeping, urinating, and drinking normally. There has been no lost of interest in food, treats, or chews. No one yelps when I palpate their tummy, and no one is vomiting.
When can I stop freaking out? I took Teddy in for an x-ray and nothing showed up. The vet and vet tech said it was in pieces so it will probably just run its course, but I'm a nervous wreck.
All that said, it could have happened before then and I didn't know.
I feel terrible right now.
P.S. it was not a used tampon, and the applicator was not included. |

| If they aren't showing any signs after 48 hours I imagine you can start settling, but I would still just monitor their BM for the next several days just to insure they aren't digesting slowly. When Kenzi eats something I'm unsure about I give her a little olive oil or castor oil to slick the process along. _________________ |

| O.k., not to sound creepy, but, my son in law did work for Kimberley Clarke sometime ago headed different departments at different plants and one was fem-care products. Chewed up and eaten the stomach acid should break it down and pass it without a problem. I would guess that if it was still intact that it would have swollen soon after being swallowed and problems would have already started. So be guarded but I think the dogs might be o.k. |

| Hughie, you've got more nerve than I do. Being a lifelong bachelor I wasn't even going to touch that topic - but what you said does make sense. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I know - and logic tells me to calm the f down...being a worried dog mom won't let me.
I don't think they are digesting slowly - last night they had raw, but today I gave them grandma lucy's because it has a higher fiber content to hopefully ease anything out if necessary |
