Inflight vs. Showstopper?? Empty

Hello,

I'm am considering putting Miya on one of these supplements, I was advised at my last show to start her on k9 showstopper. (of course I went on the web to read into it)

I'm a little hesitant after reading some down sides to it, like weight gain? It has all great reviews about the results people are getting from it otherwise. I'm just looking for some advice or personal experience by chance of anyone who has used this product.

Now inflight coat supplement is supposed to do the same thing, full-beautiful coat BUT without the weight gain. Both seem like such great products, & I'm not sure which one to go with.

If you have any experience with either please share Smile Thanks in advance

It's straight fat...IMO, you are better off having her on a nutritious diet and adding coconut oil. Same effect, much better for her.

Both are? Oh noo haha I do feed her totw with salmon oil I have to force her to take coconut oil she doesn't like it lol

The person at the show sweared by Showstopper ? His dogs looked good, could you give it to them if you run your sibe daily?

I know many people fed raw, and they get great results but to fed both my shepherd and husky raw I can imagine will get very pricey.

Have you tried warming up the coconut oil? My dogs like it better melted.

I feed raw to three siberians, and it is wayyyyyyyy cheaper. I'm sure there are co ops and groups out by you. I can do some research later.

Showstopper is incredibly high in fat and has even been known to cause nutritional corneal dystrophy that recedes after being taken off. There are siberians who have failed their CERF/OFA eye clearances because of it and then a year later passed.

Inflight has flax seed. I would never feed flax to a breeding dog as there has been some connection to reproductive issues.

I'd say if she won't do the coconut oil, stick with salmon oil and vitamin e. The biggest change will come with whole diet. We don't supplement raw except for coconut oil and I only do that because it is antiviral antibacterial and antifungal naturally.

Showstopper can be a delicate balancing act too. I've had 2 who don't tolerate it well at all. I have not, however, ever had any eye tests come back failed due to being on showstopper though I have heard of it happening. It can cause a fatty deposit in the eye that mimics CD. But the bigger question I have is why are you wanting to add showstopper or Inflight?

Thank you Megan for you advice & the link I plan to add meat to her diet Smile

@huskymom09 The main reason, is my mentor told me I should put my girl on it, he told me the results he's had so I was convinced it wasn't bad. I thought I was just vitamins and it helps he grow a nice coat two bonuses. But after everyone so against it, I shouldn't put her on it.
