Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I scoop it up and put it in a 5 gallon bucket (lined with a garbage bag). I toss it on garbage day. _________________ |

| If your crafty, you could make a doggy septic tank. You put the poop in and it is eaten by the bacteria.
Here is a tutorial on how to do it! http://calicoroad.blogspot.com/2010/08/dog-doo-compost-bin.html |

| Well, A long time ago when I was in PR we had a dog that had a bad habit of sneaking in the garage and pooping. So, when I got stuck cleaning the garage, I would spray it out all over the vicious cactus that was around the corner. Later that week, that cactus was full of flowers... I had never seen it bloom so happy in the 6 years i lived there. It looked something like this: Now living in the states, I either pick it up into a bag and throw it out, or if its really messy I hose it apart into the grass. |

That looks like a pitaya, did you ever get any fruit from it - I'm told it's sweet with the consistency of a pear<?>. *I* can't get one to grow!! _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| If we are on a walk I have poop bags at home I have a bucket and a scooper. I found that the sentented garbage bags help mask the smell of poop in the garage with out smelling to much themselves so when its really hot I try to do that. |

I moved back to USA shortly after it flowered. There are some that say yes taste like pears but they are talking about "Nopales" or "Nopalitos" as some spanish cultures call it. Its a different cactus. They are delicious chopped up, cooked and served on a salad or mixed in with other dishes. ..making my self hungry here thinking about it >_< (sorry didnt mean to derail thread into food) |

| I ignore it at first and try to avoid it, then run it over with the mower, get mad and then do pickup duty with a scooper and a grocery bag around trash time.
