| Hi all!
I need to find a good treat for my 3 boys that will keep them occupied and happy for a couple hours? I tried bully sticks this week and wasn't too happy with them. I bought 3, 9in braided bully sticks and Kronos managed to get his into 3 small pieces so I took it and threw it away before he chocked. And the next morning my puppy threw up and had diarrhea so I'm assuming it didn't settle well with his stomach because that was the only thing that changed in his diet so there was nothing else that could have made him sick.
What are you giving your fur kids as special treats? And how long do they last? Any tummy issues?

| I use elk/deer antlers. Gabby seems to like the split antler the best but some people will not use them in fear of the dog breaking/chipping teeth. They last quite some time (a few days) but she tends to lose interest in them once the marrow is gone.
I have tried a lot of the edible chews but Gabby tends to bite chunks off them and eats them hole. And tend to give her diarrhea as well. |

| I buy pet bones from the grocery store, which occupy the dogs for awhile until the marrow is gone. I also buy them rawhides but give them only under supervision. The best thing I can recommend is antlers. They're becoming a lot more common too. I even found some at Walmart! |

| The chews my two like the best, aren't necessarily the healthiest for them, and that's the rawhide bones. I just bought them a bag of antlers, and they hardly touch them, so I took them away and went to get them a rawhide and Mishka had it in her mouth and was running to her spot with it before I even could hand it to her. I've given mine beef bones, and they chew on them a bit, and then they're done with them. |

| I feed my girls frozen raw meaty beef bones. Miya, my older girl does great, and Sofie my 9 month old I have to take away if she starts to seriously chomp, she tends to not chew and swallows. I also feed cow ears, and they both take awhile to eat and never have issues, one of the few types of treats that do not bother either of their tummies. I can trust them to leave for an hour or two and they are safe eating them alone. I also give elk or moose split antlers. Deer antlers are just too hard for their teeth, and splits are actually safer than whole antlers for their teeth. When buying antlers, stick to the elk and moose, they are the softest, and mine take days even weeks to finish a good sized antler. Mine are picky, however, I only allow one type of treat for each girl, so they have no real choice, eat what I give them or don't haha. Those are my go to's and they last long and no tummy issues. I would refrain from the raw meaty bones when alone, until you know how they handle them, and also for some reason raw bones can make my older girl possessive, so they are crated when they have them. |
