Water dispenser Empty
PostSubject: Water dispenser    Water dispenser EmptyWed Dec 07, 2016 7:05 pm

The breeder I adopted Bacchus from had water dispensers for his dogs similar to what hamsters/gerbils use to drink water. Since I have brought Bacchus into my home, I have noticed that he makes a mess of his water bowl and also may be drinking water to quickly from the bowl leading to hiccups.

I have looked online to find a good quality water dispenser that I can attach to his crate so he can drink from there with less mess all over the floor. I can never find one with consistently good reviews.

Any recommendations for the best quality water dispenser that doesn't leak or break down?

Thanks

I can't help you with a dispenser but to cope with the mess we put a large microfiber memory foam bath mat in front of his bowl. Which is on a rubber pet dish tray that has a raised edge. Ami dribbles and spirts water as he leaves his dish. The mat catches pretty much most of it.

I use one of those large rubber boot trays. It was like $6 and has an edge around it to retain whatever is spilled.

We used a boot tray too with our Luka-he's a total water baby. We had to buy bowls he couldn't tip or pull out of the base but with time he's gotten better-hopefully with time yours will top!

Don't know about dispenses tho... you could contact the breeder and ask what they use?

I've seen them in pet stores with the dog bowls. Personally I just use a mat to catch the excess because my pup is also a water addict. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the suggestions on the boot mats. I will try that at some point. I am trying this water https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E13JPTS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 from Amazon. Hopefully, it works until he gets more mature.
