New harness for Dima? Empty
PostSubject: New harness for Dima?   New harness for Dima? EmptySun Feb 20, 2011 4:23 pm

I have had my lovely Dimitri for about three months now! Woot! Anyways, back on topic. I am trying to find him a new harness, because with just a collar it feels like he could drag me off in a second. For the past three months he has been using a normal store bought harness, which honestly I despise because they just don't fit dogs correctly. It seems as if those bloody things cut into them! Oops, I am off subject again. Basically I was hoping someone could give advice on what sort of harness to get him?

There are a lot of different harnesses out there that work well like Ezydog, Kurgo, and Ruffwear. I'm curious about the harness you have for Dima. What do you mean by "store bought" harness? Do you have a pic or link so we know what type you've tried before? There are different styles of harness for walking too like the standard H style, step-in, chest plate, mesh front, front clip, anti-pull, etc.

I use a standard H-style walking harness for walks on all of my dogs, I use the X back for pulling and hiking.

The following pic shows my black/white boy wearing his H style harness on the right. And on the left is a red/white female wearing a front clip gentle leader (anti-pull) harness.

This next pic shows my boy (on right) again in his H-style harness and another black/white husky (on left) wearing an awesome Ruffwear harness/pack. I highly recommend Ruffwear!
