Im concerned about my huskies size Empty

Hello i currently own two beautiful female huskies,  one 8 months and the other 3 months. My 8 month old seems very short for her age,  about 18 inches tall weighing 32 lbs. i often get asked if she is a miniature husky or a dwarf husky. My 3 month old is almost as tall as her. Should i be concerned?

Standard size for female huskies is 20-22 inches tall and 35-50 pounds. Your 8 month old is a little short for standard but not terribly far off. We usually figure that dog grow until they are a year old to 14 months, so she still has some time to put on those last couple inches to meet standard. That doesn't mean that she will make standard though. Did you meet her parents? If so, how tall were they? Top picture looks a bit more like her growth plates are closed which would mean no more upward growth. But the second picture they look more open which would mean she could grow up a little more. Each dog is different. Some do the majority of their growing early in life (which sounds like your younger is of that line) and some grow very slow and then put on in the last mile (which could be the case of your older girl).

As above, she could still grow! Our Luka didn’t stop growing until 16-18 months (granted he’s WAY above the standard weighing in at 68 lbs and is between 2.5-3 ft tall).

Also I’m no expert but I believe her growth pattern may also depend on what breeding lines she is? (Please correct me if I’m wrong!) Our Mia is supposedly racing line so she has a slightly different build than Luka who is “show” lines. Do you happen to know her lineage?
