| Hey everyone, Happy Thanksgiving!
It's the strangest thing ever, there are lots of dogs in my neighborhood and the ones I've met either dislike my Husky or is aggressive towards him, there's only a a few dogs who get along with him. He is a two years old and intact.
For instance there's my neighbors akita mix that hangs out in his back yard with wide short fencing, so other leashed dogs would come up and greet him and every dog I've seen him meet, he is super happy to see and gets excited. While we I took my Husky up to the fence the dog started to growl and show teeth!
Other times dogs would walk past other dogs nicely, but once they starts to pass my husky they will bark and aggressively lunge at him, while he's walking calmly minding his own business. Another example, this bulldog who loves everyone I see him meet, but would growl if my dog passes him.
Haha any insight on this? |

| Spider is like that. Shes rude and other dogs dont like that. But what your talking about isnt a husky problem so much as a dogs with erect ear issue. Breeds with erect ears and high tail carrige give off a very dominant picture to other dogs, just like dogs with cropped tails confuse other dogs.
Also you have an intact male, and intact males are prone to fighting. |

| Dogs can smell an intact dog, male or female, a mile away. A female in heat can send other males into a frenzy from a long distance. For the most part huskies have a very direct body language with having upright ears and upright tails much of the time and it can be hard for some dogs to read that or it can be perceived as a dominant body gesture, but more than likely what you are dealing with is because he isn't fixed. Even fixed dogs will judge him to be "different" and can have a bad reaction to it. Other intact dogs will want to assert themselves with him. _________________ |
