Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Very interesting information about the oils, thank you Val. Drogo and Whisker Biscuit (my cat) do interact some but it's minimal and there's no physical contact, so I think it would be okay. I just bought a 4 month supply of Advantage so I think I'll be taking it back for a refund!

You could save the Advantage for next summer as a back up. While I do rely mostly on the natural stuff I do like having Advantix on hand just in case. We did have an incident this summer when we went to the mountains and did a lot of hiking in wooded areas and I forgot to put their oils on and didn't bring their ACV or garlic on the trip. They were completely unprotected (my fault, I forgot to bring their stuff) for a week and my chi girls did end up getting fleas by the end of the week. When we got home from vacation I was so glad to have some Advantix waiting for me! Wink

I actually have a 4 month supply already, I just decided to stock up since it was on sale. Smile I have to say I'm really surprised it only takes 1 drop on their collar to work. Must be some really potent stuff!

Hey, all I know is that it works! It smells really strong the first day but by the second day it's not too noticeable. Plus, because you use so little it lasts forever. I'm still on the first bottles of Rose Geranium oil and Cedarwood oil that I bought for less than $10 a piece back in June 2010.

Was reading this and noticed someone mentioned Vectra 3D - I would NEVER use that product. It is a Hartz product that they produce under a alias. I will NEVER use hartz products personally if they work or not (which to me generally they do not).
