Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. | Bella was just spayed on Tues. Tonight I noticed a pink discharge from her "hoo-ha". (I know, it's not a pleasant topic, but I've never had a girl before!) Is this normal? Obviously, it's too late to call the vet tonight, should I call tomorrow? |

| "hoo-ha" do you mean her left nostril?
Only kidding unless she's out right bleeding I'd wait until you can call the vet in the morning. Might be a good idea to put a fabricated diaper on her to keep the house tidier. |

| lol Len! At least I got a good laugh out of that! There hasn't been much of it. Just a little bit one time so far. Hopefully, it's nothing serious, but I'm going to call as soon as they open. |

Out of the 6 rottweilers we had my whole life with the 'rents, my mom only had 1 female. When she had her spayed, the vet told her to keep a "doggy diaper" on her for a few days afterwards. ? Maybe some vets don't feel it is necessary. Good idea to call this morning, but it doesn't sound unsual. Let us know! |

| I would at least call. My girls have some blood leakage for a day or two after but it's very little and doesn't last. If this is new after 3 days then I'd give the vet a ring and ask their opinion over the phone, it won't cost you anything and will at least put your mind at ease.
Not to scare you or anything but when our Chi girl, Faith, had a lance and flush done for an abscessed anal gland she was still having quite a bit of discharge from the site for a week and started swelling in that area again. I called and they wanted to see her, turned out the site had gotten infected even though she was already on antibiotics. They flushed it again and put her on more and stronger meds and she healed up from there on out. I know it's not the same condition being treated but both cases deal with an open 'wound' if you will that can get infected. _________________ |
