I chose a Husky for my service dog and we have just started lessons Smile I'm very excited I've never had this breed before so I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions and learning a lot on here! Rouge is a 4 month old well whitish pinkish fluff ball she is gentle and sweet. Working with her so far has been a blast. I'm trying to figure out how to upload a photo of her to share. Smile

Welcome! That is really cool you're training her to be a service dog. I swear if you could put my two together and get Siku's love of everyone, love to be petted, and gentle treat taking and Elara's calmer personality and not jumping on people I'd have the perfect therapy dog. lol. But alas Siku will knock people over cause she loves them oh so much and Elara will take your fingers off when you give her a treat (that's been a constant battle ever since she was a tiny pup) and is a bit afraid of kids.

I'm pretty sure another person on this forum has their sibe as a service dog and Denise has Frankie who's a therapy sibe.

Welcome! Good luck with all the training, and with some dedication and patience Rogue will be a great service dog. We have been through the Petsmart training classes up through advanced (testing for CGC on Saturday), and as soon as she's a year old we are going to start official therapy training. Make sure you find out as many places as possible around you that are dog friendly, and take Rogue with you whenever you go. Home Depot is a great one, we take Ghost there from time to time and the last time we went she was an absolute angel.

Rogue is adorable, too Smile

CGS I'm excited and frightened for that test but its a little ways away for us Smile I lost my previous service dog at 11 weeks old it was a genetic flaw but I'm super afraid of taking her places as she isnt UTD on her shots the breeder wasn't very on top of things. So I picked up her 2nd shot tonight but still makes me nervous ya know? I'm considering putting her in the cart lol

Hello from your neighbor on west side of the Snake River.
Rogue is a beautiful pup.

Please let us know how it goes with the service dog training.

The joke in our family is that Bodhi wants to be a Companion Dog.
Then he could go to Costco and get those little sausage or meatball treats!

I just groomed a red service dog named Rouge over here in Idaho Falls made me think of you and your dog.

Kind of cool two red service dogs in the same state.
