Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Changing food brands? Empty
PostSubject: Changing food brands?   Changing food brands? EmptySun Apr 01, 2012 2:20 pm

So I had my dog on diamond chicken and rice. When she has to go live w my aunt temporarily she changed her to fromms family classic which when I brought her home she needed food. My aunt said she thought it was chicken and rice, our feed store had chicken and veggies so I bought that, hoping that was it... Couple days later I came home to the putrid smell of diaarreah in my room, guess that wasn't it. I text my aunt and she sent me a pic of the bag and it was not the right kind and I couldnt find family classic at our feed store.

Well I was reading about quality affordable foods and really wanted to switch kiara to taste of the wild. It was 43$ for a lage bag compared to 65$ for fromms! I had heard nothing but posative things about TOTW I just felt bad about having to put her stomach on a new food without a slow transition, but I didn't really have a choice... The feed store recommended http://www.equerrys.com/ (spunks probiotic) I have also been adding some cottage cheese and it has been working well. It helps the digestion and absorbtion of vatamins and helps keep her stool firm...

It's a great thing to give with every meal but I am just doing it to help her food transition and would reccommend it to anyone wanting to switch their dogs food.
