Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Snickers is having surgery tonight to remove several lumps that have popped up. He had a similar surgery last August and one lump has come back, so we're taking it off again and sending it off. While he's under, he also have several other lumps that I'm taking off as a precaution. He's a 10 1/2 year old collie mix, so I'm a little afraid for him tonight. I'm taking him in tonight at around 7pm and hanging around until he's finished. We're also going to do some radiographs beforehand and I might see if I can get his canines cleaned/polished, if they have any "spare time" while he's knocked out. I'm nervous for him. If any of you could give us some positive thoughts or prayers tonight, I'd appreciate it. Thanks c:

Well, its 12:30 and I just got home. Snickers is spending the night and coming home tomorrow morning. He was in surgery for so long. They ended up taking 8 lumps off and we're sending one off to be checked out, plus he had a sebaceous cyst that they were able to pop. Poor baby looks like he got into a fight with a stapler and lost because he has staples everywhere. He did really good though and was already trying to get up and walk around 15 minutes or so after they were finished. He was still kinda loopy when we left, but he kept trying to get up and come to me so I figured I needed to leave before he hurt himself. I work from 8-6 tomorrow, so until my mom gets there to pick him up, he's gonna be hanging out on his bed up front with me.

And Ava is very distraught over him not being home with her tonight. When I came home without him, she got really worried. Poor pups :c

Thank you all for worrying about him with me. I really appreciate it. Its been a really long night, but I'm glad he's done!

Poor Snickers! I hope he's doing well today and that the results come back okay. He must be feeling sorry for himself, that's a lot of lumps to have removed.
