Haven't been to active on here recently, but I had to let you guys in on some news! It's not a husky like I was looking for I definitely don't regret taking this boy in, though!

Story: So I was inside with Indy while my roommate went to just go hang out outside on the front porch. A few minutes later I get a text with him saying "meet my new porch buddy" and a picture of the cutest little pup ever (almost ). I went outside to see what it was all about, and come to find out he appeared to be a stray. I gave him a few good close looks and I assumed he was most definitely a stray. He was absolutely filthy, covered in fleas and ticks, and was starving. Since I just moved here, I don't know many of my neighbors so I wasn't sure he didn't belong to one of them.

My roommate and I started talking about making some posters to put up in the area, and we tried figuring out a way to contain him as I was NOT about to let him run loose anywhere. We picked up a large dog kennel off craigslist for super cheap and cleaned it out.

The more I thought about it, the worse I felt about looking for his original home. He is a beautiful pup and I was sure someone was missing him. I was angry that someone would let him get in the condition he was in and also let him run around loose without a collar or tags or a chip. I'll be posting signs and an add on CL, though I highly doubt I'm giving him back if he had a home, unless they're the right family and they want him back. So for now, we're keeping him. I gave him a bath, fed him, gave him flea/tick meds, and gave him a bed and a loving family to enjoy. I am not sure that if we don't find his home (if he had one), that I'll be keeping him. We'll either keep him, or just foster him till he's adopted out. I'll have him neutered and up to date on shots before he goes anywhere.

He's still super young, at about 3-4 months old and he already weighs a whopping 30 lbs! He looks so small but the little guy is absolutely solid! And so strong! Jeez, he needs to learn to walk on a leash quick!

Good news, though! Him and Indy get along splendidly! They're awesome little buddies and I'm happy Indy now has another dog to play with!

So, without further ado....Meet "Jarvis" or "?" (haven't decided on a name), the 3-4 month old pitbull pup!

Lol! Jarvis! I love it!! That's one of the names I had hidden away for future pups love the ears, reminds me of my friends pit bull mix Hope!

Thanks guys! I love the name Jarvis! I so want that to be my next pup's name too, but I might save it for my next husky lol. We haven't decided on a name yet. None of them fit him. His ears crack me up! They stand up on their own and I'm hoping they stay like that! I love how they flip over at the tips lol.

One of my favorite dogs I have ever run into was a young male pitbull named Sully, who at the time weighed 70lbs and was solid muscle! I couldn't get over how well behaved he was, and how much fun he was to play with. I should see if I can find a picture of him...

Linda, his ears crack me up! This morning one of them started standing straight up, so it looks like he might have large pointy ears haha!

Melissa, we just might! I was really looking at adopting another husky in the near future, but looks like this guy had other plans for us lol.

OMG He's sooo beautiful!!! I adore Pit Bulls!! I had a red nose as a kid, they are awesome dogs! Congrats and enjoy him!

Thanks! I've actually decided I'm going to try to find him a home. I rescued him with the intent to re-home him, and though I'm really sad that he wont be with us any longer, I know I'll find him the perfect home I would really like to keep him, but it's not the right time for me to have two dogs. I was actually looking to adopt a husky or get my first show dog in a few months, but right now just wouldn't be fair to the little guy. I'm busy enough with the two jobs, school, and keeping up with Indy. I want to make sure he gets the home he deserves.

He won't be leaving till I find him a home though. I'm not just dumping him off to anyone or to a shelter. I'll be going through a thurough screening and application process. If he doesn't get adopted, then I'll be keeping him. I've also asked for the help of a local rescue, so hopefully we can find this guy a forever home!

Well good luck on finding him a forever home. It's gotta be tough letting him go, but you're doing the right thing.

Are they considered an actual breed? Someone told me they are just bully dogs mixed with terriers... at any rate I love them too they are so playful and loving. My gf sister has one and he is just hilarious. Here is a picture.

Technically the AKC doesn't consider the Pit Bull a breed, there are other registries who do.

Oh well... anywho congrats on the new member of the pack

i love huckies and pitbulls they both are very loving to there owners i want a female pitbull when i get my own place to keep bear from messing up the house when i go to work
