Just had his preop bloodwork drawn should have results tomorrow and then schedule it for next week. At five months he weighed in at 32 pounds! He has begun to mark a little, and has a few stubborn baby canines that will need to be pulled, although one literally fell out this morning. So hopefully the rest come out before next week Very Happy.

In any event its been a long time since I had a male puppy, but as I recall they act like nothing happened with this surgery, true?

That has been my experience (at least after a day or two of rest). But it doesn't keep us from worrying. Saphire is going in on Monday and I am a nervous wreck. I know its a standard proceedure but I'm still worried.

As for the baby teeth, we are having the same problem with them being stubborn. Saphire had snaggle tooth for like a week before the one fell out and the other one fell out while my daughter was playing tug-o-war with Saphire and about scared my daughter half to death. She came into the kitchen almost in tears because Saphire was bleeding but she couldn't tell from where. Went out into the livingroom and found the tooth where they had been playing.

Definitely use the collar! I just had Indy neutered a few weeks ago, and all he wanted to do was lick at it. He was very sore and just wanted to lay low for about a week. Each dog is different, though. Our foster pup just came out of surgery jumping and running as usual and never noticed a difference lol.

Qannik was neutered last month. He was a little out of sorts for the first 24 hours, but then completely back to normal. We had to keep the cone on him for 7 days though, because any time we attempted to take it off, he immediately started licking his wound area.

Tama's big day was yesterday! He doesn't even stitches... They glued his incision shut. He was so happy to see us but day one back at hone and his is sleepy, groggy, and out of it. I have only had female dogs so we were worried too that he might act differently! Lots of love for the big boy today!!!! ( he is 8 months and 62 lbs)

Balon did fine with this surgery, it was two weeks ago, he had to wear a cone for 8 days because he was licking, but he has been fine! Healed up beautifully!
