Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Inside the house if I'm not up cooking something or making them play my husky is snoozing or just hanging out on the bed looking out the window or just relaxing. If I say walk she will jump up and two or three times out of the morning and afternoon she will be downstairs with the puppy playing and rolling around on the floor. We go for our mile and she comes back in, plays and lays down.

If we aren't on a walk she's sleeping.

At my parents house she will be up a bit more since she has a fenced in yard, but even then she will sit or lay on the deck or grass and just hang out.

My Anya is a sleepyhead.

We wake up around 5 and head out for a long walk (about an hour). She comes home and sleeps. Around noon we take a quick break outside, then she sleeps. Around 4 she wakes up, has dinner, and plays with us then watches television with us. We take a long evening walk and then she's in her bed by 10 and passed out.

We're in Florida where it's already very muggy and hot, so she's lazier than usual.

Zhukov usually gets to bed around 10-11:00pm. Then after an hour to an hour and a half of whining, crying, moaning, howling, yelping, yipping, calling out "DAD DAD DAD DAD DAD COME GET ME!!!!" he will sleep through the night. He gets up with me at about 0545 and then takes maybe 2-3 naps throughout the day, depending on the amount of exercise we are doing

It sounds like even adult huskies can nap during the day which is good for me as we'll have a newborn!

Artemis goes to bed for the night sometime around 8/9. She gets up around 5, because that is what time my husband gets up for work. He takes her out, and then I feed her at about 730 when I get back from taking my son to school. She has a terrible burst of energy after she eats and races and roles and chases the girls for about an hour. After that, she lays in the kitchen on the air vent or in the crate and sleeps until around 12 or 1 and then she asks to go outside. I put her in the outside kennel and she digs and sleeps and sits and watches the man across the street work outside and is back asleep again by 5. Wakes up around 6 for dinner and to use the bathroom, back asleep at 8 or 9.
