Hi everyone, I'm Val and my family is owned by Libby. We got her 3 days ago, March 3, from a local shelter. She was an unclaimed stray so we're guessing her age at around 2 years old.
Thank you for allowing me in, I look forward to learning and participating.

Thanks for the welcome Ghost. Was your dog adopted too? There was a husky at the Vancouver shelter a couple years ago that we were interested in but he got adopted by the time we put in our application. His name was Ghost. Long shot but thought I'd ask.

Yes we adopted him from Vancouver two years ago so it is probably the same dog! He's lovely!! He has been very expensive (several surgeries) so I hope your Libby is healthier! Is that where Libby came from? They seem to have an almost constant suppy of huskies.

Edited to add: He's not pure husky though, so they could have had another husky of the same name (after all there are several Ghosts on here)

Thanks Angela Smile

Re: Ghost... He was adopted at the end of June 2011. I'm so sorry you've had so much trouble with him, hope he's done with all the problems now?
Libby is becoming a challenge but until we get the cone off of her, we won't know the extent of her naughty-ness.

Hmm then I don't think it is the same dog unless you are a bit out with your timing. He was the only sled dog there when we got him, but I know they got several siberian huskies in immediately after, so maybe they got another one they called Ghost? I think he was listed as malamute/husky rather than vice versa (though you can see from the photo he is obviously more husky).

Anyway, it's a funny coincidence! Thanks for your kind wishes for him. He's doing okay at the moment and we love him so the expense has been worth it, just wish for his sake that he didn't always have to be at the vet!

Libby will be happy when her cone comes off! I hope it's not long now. I look forward to seeing more photos!
