No idea but I'm sure someone who has more experience with food will be able to help you out soon. I know a lot of people use Earthborn Holistic or Nature's Domain. Bumping for you

You'll find breeding is a sensitive topic here. Breeding should be done to further better the breed. You should have his hips and eyes checked and score, as well as to get him evaluated to see if he show quality. If everything checks out, you should also wait until he is 2 years old until you breed him.

| Hi and welcome! A good resource for figuring out the best food for your pup is www.dogfoodadvisor.com. I even managed to convince my friend to check it out and she changed the food she was feeding her boxer almost immediately. There are also a bunch of posts here on the forum in the Nutrition section on what people are feeding their pups. I for one have used both TOTW and currently Earthborn Holistic. One of our members here gets the Costco generic variety and her dogs do really well on it.

[b]Hi-not out to become a backyard breeder-I highly respect rescue-I have 2 rescue Huskys who are the most wonderful dogs you could ever have. I love my new Male-Spirit and proud of his background and I think he has the background to produce some wonderful dogs with the right female. He has a 5 generation pedigree that I have researched and talked to his breeder. I am just looking for information, since this is new to me. I only want quality responsible people who would love the puppies for personal family!

Basically anything that is not from a prestige kennel that shows and/or works their dogs is considered a backyard breeder here. Even if he is AKC registered with a five-generation pedigree it does not mean he has what it takes to produce great lines. My female has a five-generation pedigree but she is not show quality whatsoever. Please don't take me the wrong way, I think a lot of people at one point or time think about breeding before they do the research on reputable breeders. But I just think there are so many breeders out there already.. what makes your guy fit to be bred? That's what's so great about this forum, is learning things you would have never been able to know before If you really think he's a great prospect, I would first check out this thread and get opinions on him. https://www.itsahuskything.com/t7278p180-conformation-a-realistic-look-at-sibes-and-their-faultsThere are a few members here who are experienced in showing and should be able to help you out if your guy is good breeding prospect. I would also have his eyes and hips checked, and he should be at least 2 years old before breeding. Hope this helps a bit

Hi Megan-thank you for your advice-that is what I am looking for. I am open to suggestions and I want to be responsible and produce healthy puppies when and if I do this. He is only 7 months old now but the question has arisen about neutering him and that is why I am researching this now , which I am sure you can understand that It will be a lot of responsibility and work with him not to neuter. Thank you-Martha [b]

No prob! Have you thought about trying any of the foods suggested yet? Also, which flavor of TOTW did you use? I know Yuki is sensitive to the bison flavor but she did great on the pacific stream flavor.
