Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

The dogs I grew up with Empty
PostSubject: The dogs I grew up with   The dogs I grew up with EmptySun Apr 21, 2013 11:11 pm

The very first 2 dogs, I barely remember as they both died when I was really young. It was Mother and pup Wolf Hybrids. Very high content wolf. (The mothers sire was pulled from a den with his litter when I am guessing something happened to the wolf pack. Her mother was high content as well). I have no photos of them digitally or online.
At the same time we had them we had a purebred show quality Cocker Spaniel, Whom I also do not have any digital photos of. She had 2 litters of puppies, That was fully accidental. (My mom had hoped to find a qualified male to breed her to one day which is why she had not been spayed.) We have a pup from each litter. The oldest one is Ta'hila which we do not know what breed the male was, It was one that snuck into our yard one night. He was the runt and we nearly lost him many times. Had to hand feed him, and was a little shocked when he pulled through. He was born when I was in 3rd grade and has been the dog I have grown up with Smile

His brothers sire was a Championship herding Border Collie we got out of his Kennel when his owner lived across from us. He was born in 2004, Pictured here with Sunka, and a recent one with Loki Smile

Sunka who died of Cancer shortly before we got Loki, I also had nearly all of my life. He was also a Wolf Hybrid with Alaskan Malamute. Photo taken after finding out about the cancer about a month before we lost him.

This is Karma, she is a Great Dane/Pit Mix, Who we got a little over a year ago. She is coming on 2 and a half years. Smile She is so incredibly smart! We have to keep her separated from Sassy though as the two for some reason, Want to kill each other. (If anyone has any tips and getting 2 females to learn to live with each other, that would be great! They got along fine until Sassy got fixed and turned into a holy terror.) We got her when the owner dumped her down here before returning to a different state. Because, "They couldn't keep her home."

Sassy is about 4-5 years old and we have had her since a puppy. She is a lab/pit mix. Smile And she is Lokis besttt play buddy. Razz

All your dogs are adorable. Karma looks like her name should be sassy
