She's such a water dog! Last time we went to the beach she only got her feet wet but lately shes loved the water even more so I want to take Link and her to the beach on the 50ft leads. Cloud could care less for water.. haha..

Ditto. They know the difference between 'playing' in water and 'bath time'. Although Yuki sometimes sleeps in the empty bathtub but shes pretty weird.

Yuki is so pretty!

I remember one of your first posts on this forum was that you were having shy problems with Yuki. Just out of curiosity, is she still shy around people? Or has she broken out of her shell?

Also, did you pick her name from an anime lol??

Thank you, and thanks for asking! She's still shy. Week 31 was an achievement for me though, someone else petting her. She's got about 4 or 5 gals she knows from the dog park that she likes, so shes definitely getting better, but strangers are still definite nos and she runs away terrified. Men she is still ultra-scared of, I've never seen her let a guy pet her, ever, even if its a guy she knows. I socialized her as best I could as a puppy, but I've come to accept it. However I do plan on doing some major BAT for her fear of men just to get her to the point where she can walk past a guy without freaking out, because its becoming a hazard when bikejoring. Other than that, I just let her do as much as shes comfortable with, if she doesn't want someone to pet her I just leave rather than trying to tempt her over to that person with treats, and hoping that having Link with her everywhere will help her over time (since he's a social butterfly).

And yes her name is technically from Vampire Knight but to be honest its not one of my favorites, I just like the meaning of the name

Thank you Jen! She's about 16 months now She was born on July 23rd, 2012.

Haha, what a bed thief! I also see you have bells by the door. A fellow bell trainer! Do you find they ring the bell sometimes when they don't actually have to go out? Annoys the heck out of me sometimes, haha.

Yes bells are my best friend, I got them last year at my old job for only a couple bucks xD they work well!

and yes.. I had /quite/ the issue with Link ringing them all the time. He still does, but it's not as bad now. What I did was instead of rewarding ringing the bell, I always took him out when he rang it, but then only rewarded him once he went potty outside. Kinda annoying way to do it but he caught on that he only got the treats if he rang it to go potty, but unfortunately his desire to go outside still wins out and he will randomly ring it at times
