Hi there! I am extremely happy to have found this forum. My husband and I are new Husky owners and have a 9 week old, Agouti puppy by the name of Bane. He has his puppy appointment tomorrow in our new home, but I was looking to see what a good weight for him is now? He is currently weighing in at 13 pounds. I believe he was the runt of the litter, but the breeder didn't specify. We are feeding him three times a day; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He goes for multiple walks a day and has several new doggie friends in our condo complex that we're currently renting. We feed him the Blue Buffalo Puppy dog food. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Can't really see much from those photos (he's laying down in the first one and the tall grass in the second one). All pups grow at their own rates, some are cows at certain ages and some are dainty little buggers. If he looks healthy, I'm sure he is fine.

I think he's fine, Vegeta was 12 pounds at 9 weeks and he had coccidia then. If you're worried about him being too plump or too skinny....don't. Unless you're drastically overfeeding he should be fine. Like mentioned above, they grow at different rates. Some dogs are huge early and fizzle out while some are tiny young and grow into giants, it's kind of random. Vegeta has been fairly tiny at times and rather plump at others. I've noticed the plumpness normally proceeds a "holy crap I woke up this morning and you practically doubled in size".

We took him to the vet this morning and he checked in with a clean bill of health! She said that the 12.5 - 13 pounds is perfect for his age and breed at this point and time. Thank you for all the reassurance Very Happy
