Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I don't know if anyone else's husky does this but I find it so funny. Mya has this habit of finding the AC vents in any house she is staying in for more than an hour and has even gotten smart enough to hear the sound of the air kicking on and get up out of a dead sleep to go lay on the vent. I just found this so humorous because I've never had a dog do this before. She's found all the vents in my boyfriend's place and has even laid on them to the point of closing the vent shut lol. Here is a picture of her laying on one at my place:

It feels good! We don't have central A/C at our house, just a window unit, so poor Bode doesn't get this luxury!

It used to crack me up when she started doing it at my place but now she looks for them everywhere we go, my sisters, my parents and my boyfriends. She's a smart little devil lol.

In Michigan, I understand not having central AC but in Alabama it is a MUST!

You'd be suprised. Michigan summer's can get pretty hot and especially humid. We've been fortunate this summer though, only a week or two of unbearable heat.

Yea, it's getting up to 100 degrees here and it's awful. You can't go outside for too long. I was at the pool for an hour the other day and got roasted!

We like to sleep extra cold at night so turn the air down, we have 2 vents in out room. We notice about a month ago when we still had our foster it was still hot in the bedroom. Woke up one morning to Loki passed out on 1 vent and Glory on the other. That is why it was so warm lol!
