Kenneling :( Empty
PostSubject: Kenneling :(   Kenneling :( EmptyMon Oct 14, 2013 9:11 pm

Alright so, im finally making the move... leaving tomarrow for the long trip down to SC/georgia/florida to look at some possible apartments and check out the area/community, then move in and have to drive all the way to napa california to visit my mother (grandmothers funeral, see my sisters new baby and visit my mother in the hospital... uggh, i can hear the nagging already). but i cant really bring blu along with me, so i have him kenneled up for the next month. However the kennel did say they would be posting pictures of him on their facebook page daily for me so i can see how he's doing... also when we went in they let me walk him through the kennels and he seemed to connect with this sweet as pie red nose pittie (i have such a huuuggggeee soft spot for pit's) so that was very nice to see, however they dont let the dogs play together so he'll only be getting human inter-action which sucks, however it's understandable. also my uncle agree'd to stop by once a week to take him for a bike ride so he can get a nice run in every now and then... so that makes me a bit more comfortable.

this is going to be a very long 4 weeks, i haven't been without my boy for more than an hour since the day i got him. gunna be weird not being covered in dog hair/drool.

Anyway, was wondering if anyone has had to kennel they're pups for extended periods of time and what the expirence was with it? i got a pretty good feeling about these guy's, they seemed very nice and there grounds seemed very well set up.

I think as long as the people taking care of Blu do a good job, everything will be fine. I studied abroad for half a year, and Lycus stayed with my parents the whole time and when I came back, we just had a sweet reunion and things went back to normal.

Although, I did miss him A LOT while I was over there! It was strange not to have my fur ball following me around everywhere.

Good luck, and I'm sure everything will be fine! Smile

That might be long 4 weeks for you, but seemed you trust them plus you will get daily update then there's nothing much to worry about. Hope your uncle will be there is there's any immediate concern.

Well just got to california late last night, and i start the long drive back home in 8 days. just did some check ups on their facebook.... tons of pictures of my buddy, some actually really good ones (gunna have to get some printed and framed). seems like he's been having alot of fun there. my uncle has been picking him up for bike rides every saturday at 9:30 am sharp (he told me that it's almost become part of his weekend work out routine now... i told him he could keep biking him from now on then... he was not amused lol xD)

anyway just wanted to post some of the pictures they've given out.

Spoiler:

Thats just a few of my favoriet's so far, it seems like he's having a good time. also my uncle told me he saw another husky there in their play run this last weekend (i think he said it was a bi-eyed black and white) and asked the lady working in the office if they did playdates or if there was any special rules about maybe getting one set up... but was a no go. sucks but i understand why.

anyway my trip is going good so far, however i have yet to find any houseing that is really what i want. everything i had set up to see was nothing like i was told it was over the phone... either the price for it went up when i got there, or the naighbor hood was terrible or it looked like crap inside (i mean come on, poop stained carpets, nicotine stained walls... it can be cleaned but im sure not doing it. <_<) so needless to say the hunt continues unfortunetly.
