Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hello everyone,

Inuk lives now with me and my girlfriend since he was 8 weeks old (16.10.2013). We are from Bavaria in Germany. At first I joined a german husky board but they were constantly harassing and insulting each other. So I started to look for a different one. Once I've found this and read the first forum rule I immediately knew that this is the right board for me.

I hope you won't mind that my english isn't perfect.

This picture was taken when he was 6 weeks old and we visited him.

He loves to rest on our floor mat.

Welcome to the forum! I took a little bit of german in high school, but probably can't say anything past 'hello' now! Inuk is seriously adorable, we'd love to see lots of pictures of him! <3

Welcome! I'm half German (and half Irish), even though I've never been to Germany. I also own a German Shepherd who is West German bloodlines, out of Ursus von Batu, the year 2000 World Sieger. I've also been researching Dobermans for years, with hopes of getting one someday. Germans have created some beautiful dog breeds! My top 2 favs (Dobermans and GSDs) are from your country. Glad you got a Sibe and found this board.

Oh, and here's Nara:

Welcome! I'm of German descent as well, and I absolutely LOVE Bavaria. I've been to Germany twice now, and I'm itching to get back some day. I love a good German beer too drunken

Inuk is amazingly adorable, and I can't wait to see more pictures as he grows!

Hi Inuk

I´m from Germany too. I live near Stuttgart.
First I wanted to write this in German but it wouldn´t be fair to the others Very Happy.

I know the German Husky Forum you mentioned I joined it before I found this forum too, and after a really short time i just thought what the hell is wrong with that people, so much hate, envy and jealousy.

Meredith when you come back to Germany make sure you visit the Stuttgart area, besides of meeting people from this forum, our area is way more beautiful then Bavaria Very Happy.

Done! I really want to take Aaron over there and show him all the really cool stuff. It actually is super easy to catch a military hop to Stuttgart or Ramstein from where we're living now.

Herzlich willkommen! I was an exchange student to Germany in 2002-2003 for one year. I lived in Bad Segeberg up in Schleswig-Holstein. I knew no German when I first went there but after five months I was fluent. People would not believe me when I told them I was American. Ten years later my German isn't as good as it was, but it helped me decide to get a degree in German language, literature and culture at university. I still keep in contact with my friends and host families in Germany. Deutschland fehlt mir sehr, und wenn ich das Geld oder die Zeit haette, wuerde ich sofort zurueckkehren!

Das Huendchen sieht sehr suess aus! Viel Spass und viel Glueck damit!

(For those of you who do not speak German, the German I wrote translates as follows: "I miss Germany a lot and if I had the money or the time I would return immediately. The puppy looks very sweet. Have fun and good luck/much happiness with him!")
