I'm not even sure if this should go her or in the training section, so sorry if this is the wrong place. xD

I'm at my wits end trying to find a good place in my area to bring Kael. I severely need to get him into puppy classes and such. The breeder told me to look into a kennel club, I believe it was called, or something like that. I'm not sure how to become a part of one of those, or even what the difference is between them and a regular obedience trainer. I'm in the Finger Lakes area of New York, but everything is always an hour or more away, and due to my off-the-wall work schedule, I have a hard time with the times they run any of their classes around here. I don't even know what to do about that, unless they'd be willing to let me tweak my work hours for the winter.

Also, I was curious how to go about finding a sled club, if they exist. I'd really like to get Kael into scootering, because it's the only thing that I'm comfortable with doing on our back roads around here. I can't roller blade at all, and I hate biking with a passion due to my weak knees and exercise induced asthma. I love power walking with him, but he still needs to run. Right now he's doing it with our four-wheeler around the lawn, but I know he'd rather make a slower pace and go longer and into new territory. I just don't have any clue how to train them for that, as I only really know some basic obedience and mostly trick training.

I'd also love to get him into lure coursing, rally-O and flyball if possible.

Any suggestions on where to look? I don't know what I should be looking for to begin with. I need something reputable for sure.

They were the only ones I found that I liked and they're only about 45 minutes away too. Initially I was going to go with them, but I got super confused because they never posted the dates for the fall classes, though I see they've done so since I last looked. Also, their classes run on Thursday evening, and I get out of work an hour after they start. >.>

I think I'm just going to have to get sometime off of work for a while. lol.

I'm still looking for a way to get into scootering though.
