Its possible that he will get some grey in or alot of grey. At his age their coats change alot. He's really cute though <3

My boy is a very dilute red like yours (I would call him apricot or blond almost).  Over his shoulders, around his mask, the top of his hips and a splotch on the tail are all a similar color as simon.  Initially, I thought is was gray but as he's losing his undercoat, its actually somewhere between sable, rich mahogany and (don't laugh) deep pink overtones.  He has some nice copper around his ruff, the top of his head and a little on the lower sides.  When I look at Simon, I image that is what Ami looked like as a pup.  (we adopted him from a shelter at about 1 yr old.)  With his nose being liver, I think he'll always have some red, though light, to him. (The picture in the avatar is when he was at the shelter - when he was seized/surrendered, he had almost no hair due to neglect. It was just growing back in when the picture was taken.)

I would not be surprised if he turns gray! A lot of the puppies that are really light red / cream tend to turn gray.

I love how happy he always looks. He is so adorable.

I wouldn't be surprised either, one of Orion's siblings did this too - he was very light red as a baby now he is a silvery colour. He still has the reddish colour behind his ears and on his back legs though, but then so does Orion and he is black.
Regardless of colour Simon is super cute!

Aw! The first pic would be great for the mother's day hotm contest! He's starting to look like he's getting into a bit of an awkward teen phase physically. He's still so pretty though.

Btw, Simon will be red. It's hard to see, but his nose is liver yes? With amber eyes and a liver colored nose he will be a red. Diz had quite the red head too, but his nose has always been black, so I knew he'd be mostly grey. He's still got some red on his head though.

Yes nose and skin around the mouth and eyes is all liver.

For some reason I just noticed the hiking pics. Simon's really catching up to Sadie. She's probably nervous that the little guy will soon be her size!

Simon is so cute - I can't help but smile. I've put his picture in a separate tab - just to look at now and then and smile!!

Sadie has experience with all size puppies. She also still has 40 lbs of buff pibble on him. I think she can handle it. I don't think Simon is ready for the part when he gets bigger and Sadie stops cutting him so much slack.
The color is just surprising me I have no clue what he will look like when he is grown up. If you look at the color on his ear tips and glasses that is the color that is starting to show up on his legs and back.

Amy I am glad you think he is cute. I am kind of fond of him.
